Meet the Government
Berlin is the capital of Germany and seat of the government and a wealth of other national and international institutions. These add to the attractivity of the city and make it more interesting for tourists. Since the government's transfer from Bonn to Berlin the number of visitors has risen significantly. A visit to the cupola of the Reichstag - the seat of the parliament - has become one of Berlin's most popular sights. However, the newly built Prime Minister's Office (Bundeskanzleramt), the seats of the ministries and representatives of the federal states as well as various embassies are a focus of attention, too.
Some visitors are interested in the architecture of these buildings, others - especially groups of pupils and students as well as participants of international congresses - are eager to talk to representatives of the various institutions.
